BBS and SCT sign MOU to Improve Tech Skills Among Iraqi Women

SheCodesToo (SCT) - an Iraqi initiative that encourages Iraqi women in tech - and Baghdad Business School (BBS) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to encourage Iraqi women to develop their tech skills and empower them to seek a career in the tech sector.

The primary aim of this MOU is to generate and facilitate the implementation of collaborative and mutually beneficial programs that enhance market-required technical skills and cultural development, as well as increase collaboration with international organizations.

SCT is an Iraqi initiative that launched in 2020 and has taught 87 female students tech and coding skills. to-dateTheir objective is to enable Iraqi women to improve their tech skills and pursue a job in the Iraqi tech private sector to establish equal opportunities between males and females in the tech industry.


They offer courses in key wanted skills in the tech world such as,
 

Web development. 
Programming languages. 
Mobile App development.
Database.
Data science. 
Computer program skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).


BBS is excited to work with SCT to expand its curriculum to include more tech-focused modules and courses in its business program. BBS and SCT will work hand-in-hand to promote equity and inclusivity in the Iraqi tech sector.
